They should also make it possible to research more than one secret tech per game. If you take an enemy city you can research the racial tech (accessed through a drop down menu), but there is no way to research additional damage channels. The thing that really killed my joy for the game is realizing you can't research all the tech. Then we could manually set up each faction. Or, failing that, give us a full console like Stellaris has.
